Project Hope (Projecto Esperanza). Archbold, Ohio

Project Hope is an affiliate of Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc (CLINIC), is approved by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and recognized by the Board of Immigration Appeals. Sister Ellen is a BIA Accredited Representative.

Our ministry includes welcoming all immigrants–providing a weekly Mass in Spanish, as well as all the Sacraments, transportation for medical appointments, WIC, and weekend Masses, interpretation at clinics, schools, and with landlords and lawyers. Outreach services of food, diapers, blankets, clothing, and school supplies are available for those in need. We offer emotional support for families who are suffering from family separations because of incarcerations or deportations. Every summer we provide a 5 week summer school ESL program for Hispanic 5 year olds in order to give them a jump start for kindergarten. For the past year we have been involved in the nationwide Encuentro Process to develop leadership skills in our community, to unite with other Hispanic communities in the diocese, and to learn how to transform our parishes into faith filled communities of love and learning. We are a beacon of hope, support, encouragement, and hospitality to our Hispanic brothers and sisters in these challenging times.
